What I’m Looking Forward to in Mrs. D’s Class

Posted by mrsduenas on August 23, 2008

Students,

Please tell me what you are looking forward to this year.  What are your goals in school?  What would you like to do academically in school, etc.  What do you hope to accomplish as a student, as a person? Please remember to use good spelling, capitals and punctuation.  Write in good complete sentences.  Don’t forget to sign your name.  (This will be graded!)

    My Goals
    Andrew LD #8

My goal is to get straight A’s and Principal’s List because I want to reach the best award and challenge myself to get it. I think I have the knowledge and capability to reach this. I should improve in fitness and tests. Too often I take a test and speed through it, so I get incorrect answers. By slowing down, I reduce the number of incorrect answers. These goals will help me ace 6th grade.

  2.   Shawn Opfer Says:

My big goal is to get Principal’s List three times in a row. I don’t know if I’ve done that before so I think that would be cool. If I achieve this goal, I will receive the special plaque at the end of the year. I want get the plaque so my sister can strive for it and my family will be proud of me. To get to that goal Ill need to work very hard but I think I can do it.

  3.   mallory noonan Says:

This year in 6th grade I would like to get straight A’s and make Principal’s List. I know I can get Principal’s List if I try hard enough. But most of all, I would like to get an in spelling. I want a good grade in spelling because it is difficult for me. I also would like to do 3-4 accelerated projects this year. On the CST’s I would like to stay advanced. I hope I can make all of my goals that I have set for myself this year.

  4.   Katie Says:

I am looking forward to learning more math because I love math and the challenges that it brings. I am hoping to get straight A’s this year. I know that it will take concentration and confidence and a lot of effort and hard work. I have a feeling that I can do it. If I get Principal’s List all three trimesters I will get a plaque at the end of the year with my name engraved on it and I think that, that would be really cool. If Mrs. Duenas could help me with any problem I’m stuck on. Or, if she would help me focus on my work if I ever started daydreaming.

  5.   Nikki Miller Says:

My goal this year is to get straight A’s and make Principal’s List. I have been getting straight A’s for one trimester and then honor roll in the other trimesters for 4th and 5th grade. The first trimester is usually the easiest for me. I think that I can step it up a notch and work harder. This is my last year in elementary school and I really want to earn the Plaque. For me when I study I like to listen to music. I don’t know why but I just like too. These are my goals for this year and I really hope I get the plaque.

I am really hoping to get Honor roll this year. I have always had Honor roll and am willing to work hard to stay on Honor roll or better. I’m going to give it everything 100% of my effort, especially math because it is my hardest subject. I’m really looking forward to going to Mission Springs this year. I am also looking forward to building the Greek masks. I know that 6th grade will be a lot of hard work, but fun too.

  8.   Andrea Says:

  9.   Jaysen Says:

My goals this year at to not miss any absent days this year or any other year. The reason is because I could get picked for a cool prize ! I will try my best to get straight A’s or make Principal’s List. I really can’t wait until we start doing more projects in Social Studies. I will try my best to make it look good and not rush through it. I think this year will be fun.

My goal this year is to earn straight A’s and make the Principal’s List. Last year, my grades were slightly above average. I do have a tendency to stand up when I work. I always set goals. By making a schedule, I can keep track of how long I spend on my homework, and study a little more often, possibly using the study cubby to concentrate harder and not get distracted during tests. Also using my personal effort. I’m confident that I can get Principal’s List, and get at least one more lanyard medal, than I have now

  11.   lars beeson Says:

    Dear Mrs. Duenas,
My goals for this year are trying to get Honor Roll because I have only got it once in second grade. Am going to try to finish all my tests on time and finish all my homework and study for my tests. My other goal is trying to do better in Math and Social Studies. Those are all my goals for my sixth grade year.

    Dear Mrs. Duenas,
I am looking forward to all the Social Studies projects. This year I hope to get all A’s in every semester. Then, I will get the Principal’s Award and receive a plaque at the end of the year. To do this I will have to work hard and study a lot. I believe I can achieve this goal if I put in the effort. Science is one of my harder subjects, so I will have to work really hard.
